Below is upcoming information on a transition to teaching information meeting at Fort Hays State University. If you have a bachelor's degree and are interested in becoming a teacher this might be a great event for you.
Transition to Teaching Information Meeting
The College of Education and Technology at Fort Hays State University is hosting an information meeting for anyone that already has a bachelor’s degree and is interested in becoming a K-12 licensed teacher. The fast growing Transition to Teaching program is an alternative path that allows a qualified candidate to be hired as a teacher in their content area and begin teaching right away while taking the online education classes concurrently. Here is your opportunity to see if you qualify, find out how the program works, and to ask questions. Participants are asked to bring a copy of their college transcript, if possible. School personnel are welcome to attend, too. The session will be held Thursday, March 27 at 6:30 pm in the FHSU Memorial Union Stouffer Lounge. For more information, contact Mrs. Kerry Schuckman, FHSU Licensure Officer, at 785-628-4542 or kschuckm@fhsu.edu.
