KEEB Revisions - Please Read for Important Instructions

KEEB Applicants –

The Kansas Education Employment Board is being revised and enhanced.  New applicant features include editing capabilities, personalization of cover letters to specific positions, defined searching, and drop down menus to name a few.

Our launch of the new website is set for March 1, 2011.  If you wish to save personal information from your current KEEB account, please do so no later than Monday, February 28th, 2011.  Information from your current KEEB account will no longer be accessible by you after February 28th, 2011.  A copy and paste in a word processing document or a screen shot of current information may be the simplest way to save your personal information.

You will be required to create a new KEEB account.  You may do so by visiting the same URL (http://www.kansasteachingjobs.com) on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 or anytime thereafter.  You may use the same username and password from your current KEEB account.  The new resume creation and application process is streamlined and user friendly.

KEEB staff can be reached via email at support@kansasteachingjobs.com or by phone at 620-724-6281 or 913-638-0151.  We are also creating How To Guides that will also be available on March 1, 2011. Much of KEEB will remain the same in overall design, but with improved ease of use.  We appreciate your patience as we strive to implement features that will ease use of KEEB by both applicants and employers.

CAPTCHA Code

From time to time, applicants creating accounts for the first time experience difficulty with the CAPTCHA code.  The CAPTCHA code is a part of the applicant process for security purposes.

If you've never created a KEEB account and experience difficulty with the CAPTCHA code, please refer to the FAQ page (http://www.kansasteachingjobs.com/faq.cfm) on the site for instructions on how to allow cookies.

If you have created a KEEB account before and can't remember your username and/or password, you will experience difficulty with the CAPTCHA code portion of creating another account. Alternatively, please click on the Forgot Your Login? link (http://www.kansasteachingjobs.com/forgot_login.cfm) to request your username and password.

Are you Qualified?

According to a survey completed by PrimeCareerBuilder.com, in a recent nationwide survey, nearly one in four human resources managers receive on average 75 resumes for each open position.  Other notable findings include that nearly half of the resumes received are from unqualified candidates.  Nearly 40% of HR managers spend one to two minutes reviewing new applications.

Over the past few months, KEEB has seen a gradual increase in the number of candidates applying for positions.   Please create your resumes carefully and include a quick snapshot of your skills and accomplishments.  Also ensure that you are qualified for the position in terms of certification and licensure.  If you are working toward a particular licensure, be sure to include your progress.  If you have questions concerning licensure, please contact Teacher Education and Licensure at 785-291-3678 or visit http://www.ksde.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1648.

Application Submissions

School districts use our website in a variety of ways.  Please make sure to read the job descriptions carefully and completely.  As a result of a survey completed by KEEB staff, we found that school districts accept applications in one of the four following ways:

  1. School districts accept the KEEB application (no other application is necessary)
  2. School districts require a district application in addition to the KEEB application
  3. School districts only accept applications completed using their human resources application system or district application
  4. School districts accept either the KEEB application or the district application
Please make sure you are submitting an application in the format suggested by the school district.  If you have questions regarding application submission, please contact the school district directly or KEEB at 620-724-6281 or support@kansasteachingjobs.com.
