Increasing Your Job Search Odds
The new KEEB provides a number of new features to increase your job search effort and attract the attention of potential employers. One such feature is the Applicant search tool. Once you create a resume, you can allow districts to search and view it by selecting 'Yes' in the Searchable category under your list of stored resumes. It is important to consider the title of your resume when you make it searchable. When districts search for a resume they will initially see the title, date created, and your contact information. To increase traffic to your resume use a eye catching title, such as your area of endorsement or the region you would like to teach in. It is always helpful to include your name in the title, as well.
This is just one of the ways you can use your resume to attract employers. Remember, you can also use your resume to apply for specific jobs or create unique resumes for each position you apply for.
